MACK Then and Now

MACK formerly, Mission for Amerasian Children of Korea, was formed in September 1995 in Chicago, Illinois. It was the very first non-denominational missionary work relying totally on volunteers from all walks of life; it has no boundaries, just as love knows no limits.

MACK was conceived by a group of laywomen whose undying motherly care and interests dictated a mission for a better understanding of children born to dual cultural parentage and the cultural barrier affecting them. Moreover, to heighten compassion and understanding by all towards the plight of Amerasians, MACK was formed.

MACK was and is still a non-denominational missionary organization dedicated to a better understanding of children born to dual cultural parentage and the cultural barriers affecting them, their families and their communities in Korea and throughout the world, but is now more.

Since 1995 the number of dual ethnic Koreans throughout the world has grown tremendously and with Koreas new push at trying to address the rapid growth of multicultural families and children in Korea, the needs of Amerasians and other dual-ethnic Koreans has changed.

As a result a new generation of dual-ethnic conscious Koreans has emerged with different needs. In order to continue to meet these needs MACK has expanded its vision and mission into what you see today.

MACK Educational Mission

Educating Multiethnic Korean children shall be the focus of the MACK Educational Mission. MACK believes that education leads to ones accepting and understanding of one's identity and thereby ones environment. It is further believed that through this learning the children can harvest the fruits of tranquility and harmony to their life.
